National Beef Packing Company is one of the largest beef processing companies in
the United States, processing and marketing fresh beef and beef by-products across
the U.S. and internationally. Our processing facilities in Dodge City, Kansas and
Liberal, Kansas along with our Brawley, California facility provide beef products
to retailers, food service providers, distributors and further processors. Additionally,
our case-ready facilities in Moultrie, Georgia and Hummels Wharf, Pennsylvania and
portion cutting facility in Kansas City, Kansas provide further processed and packaged
meat for a broad spectrum of customer needs and specifications. With the addition
of our wet blue hide processing facility in St. Joseph, Missouri in 2009, we continue
to develop core capabilities and drive value for the products we deliver to the
marketplace.
Along with a significant commitment to offering a broad portfolio of products and
programs that build value for our customers, our commitment to operating with the
highest level of food safety and processing innovation has supported our growth
from a single plant in 1992, to the fourth largest U.S. beef processor.

|

1968 -
|
National Beef's Liberal location is founded by the Jacobson family in 1968.
|
|
1992 -
|
Our Dodge City location, formerly the HyPlains Beef operation is purchased by our
senior management team and Farmland Industries.
|
|
1993 -
|
National Beef purchases the Liberal location and renames it Farmland National Beef
LLC.
|
|
1997 -
|
U.S. Premium Beef Ltd. purchases a minority interest in the company. The company
becomes jointly owned by Farmland Industries and U.S. Premium Beef Ltd.

2001 -
|
National Beef begins Case Ready cutting operations
in Hummel's Wharf, PA and Moultrie, Ga.
|
|
2003 -

U.S. Premium Beef Ltd. Purchases a majority interest, with an NBP management group
and Beef Products Inc. as minority investors. The company is renamed National Beef
Packing Co. LLC

2006 -

National Beef acquires Brawley Beef, LLC of Brawley, California
|

2009 -

National Beef acquires the Prime Tanning facility in St. Joseph, Missouri forming
National Beef Leathers LLC
