The Brawley beef plant, built in 2001, is the industry's newest processing facility in 22 years. Its location and functionality add value to cattle raised locally in the rich, fertile Imperial Valley.

From case ready to fresh-chilled variety meats, ground beef to traditional 1/4" trim and 1/8" trim and blocked, National Beef has a variety of program options to help you build customer loyalty and increase sales.

- National Beef's Liberal location was originally founded by the Jacobson family in 1968.
- Our Dodge City location was formerly the HyPlains Beef operation and was purchased in 1992 by our senior management team and Farmland Industries.
- In 1993, National Beef purchased the Liberal location and renamed it Farmland National Beef LLC.
- U.S. Premium Beef Ltd. purchased a minority interest in December of 1997. The company was jointly owned by Farmland Industries and U.S. Premium Beef Ltd.
- In the Spring of 2001, National Beef began Case-Ready cutting operations in Hummel's Wharf, PA and Moultrie, Ga.
- August of 2003, U.S. Premium Beef Ltd. purchased majority interest with an NBP management group and Beef Products Inc. as minority investors. The company was renamed National Beef Packing Co. LLC.
- June of 2006, National Beef and it's majority owner, U.S. Premium Beef, acquired Brawley Beef, LLC of Brawley, Ca.
National Beef processes more than 3 million head of cattle a year, and we ship over 1,900 orders each week to customers across the United States. We have increased our market share within the beef industry over 100% in the last 13 years. Today, National Beef is the fourth largest beef processor in the United States, where we supply more than 12% of the total beef supply.
