As more people moved west, Iowa soon became the #1 cattle-producing state in the country. But when herds and ranchers continued to move further west for better grazing lands, the larger stockyard and processing facilities followed. This left Iowa farm-feeders without a place to send their cattle. Rising to meet the new local demand, several small processing facilities began emerging all over Iowa, giving those farmers a place to have their corn-fed cattle processed.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/body><\/html><\/div>\n\n\n\n
