Beef Processing
Our Liberal and Dodge City, Kansas, beef processing facilities and the Iowa Premium® plant in Tama, Iowa, are the foundation of our world-class beef operations. These three facilities are the key to our value-added strategy and are the source of the comprehensive beef portfolio that National Beef® provides to customers around the world.
Dodge City
Located in the heart of cattle country, our Dodge City plant’s experienced team is dedicated to ensuring the quality, consistency and safety of our beef.
Liberal
Strategically placed just 80 miles from our Dodge City location, our Liberal plant is a state-of-the-art processing facility staffed with a team who’s passionate about delivering a superior beef product.
Iowa Premium
With the addition of the Iowa Premium plant in Tama, Iowa, we have expanded our beef processing operations in America’s cattle country. Backed by a highly skilled team that trims, picks and inspects each piece of beef by hand, Iowa Premium offers premium, corn-fed, farm-raised Black Angus beef.
Further Processing
National Beef operates four further processing facilities located in Moultrie, Georgia; Hummels Wharf, Pennsylvania; North Baltimore, Ohio; and Kansas City, Kansas. These operations supply high-quality finished fresh beef, ground beef, ground beef patties and pork to the retail and food service channels and support our direct-to-consumer business.
Hummels Wharf & Moultrie
Our modern facilities in Hummels Wharf and Moultrie supply case-ready beef, ground beef and pork to the eastern half of the U.S.
Kansas City
Our further processing facility in Kansas City is outfitted to meet the needs of the retail and food service channels. It’s also home to the Kansas City Steak Company™, our direct-to-consumer brand.
North Baltimore
Our patty production facility in North Baltimore supplies the food service channel with millions of high-quality ground beef patties annually.
Direct-to-Consumer
We deliver the highest quality steaks and other delicious fine foods to homes nationwide through Kansas City Steak Company located in our Kansas City facility.
Wet Blue Leather
We produce consistent, premium wet blue leather in our St. Joseph, Missouri, tannery and deliver to leather goods manufacturers around the world. From our secure source of premium cattle and innovative processing technology to our commitment to environmental responsibility, we’re proud to deliver a reliable supply of premium wet blue leather to our customers.
Transportation
National Carriers® is our trucking and logistics company that operates out of Dallas, Texas, and offers refrigerated livestock transportation and logistics services to customers across the U.S. With a fleet of over 1,200 refrigerated and livestock trucks, National Carriers consistently provides safe and time-sensitive transportation to our customers who need it.
